Publish What You Pay-Nigeria (PWYP) joins Michael Uzoigwe and the entire extractive transparency advocacy families in Nigeria and the Globe to commiserate with Uzoigwe’s family over the death of their father Pa. Everistus Uzoigwe.

PWYP – Nigeria is proud of Michael Uzoigwe’s contribution to the entrenchment of transparency and accountability in the Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, we are equally proud of Late Pa Everistus Uzoigwe, from whom the gift of Michael was made possible to our sector and our country, Nigeria.

This is also in addition to the numerous great works that Pa Everistus Uzoigwe undertook in the service of Nigeria and humanity.Having served the country under the Nigerian Police Force for more than 30 years as a disciplined, dedicated and a courageous officer, we appreciate Pa Everistus’s contribution in providing security to Nigerians in different places where he worked during his time.

The discipline and quality of Dr. Mike, whom we directly interacted with, is a clear testimony of Pa Everistus’s love for discipline and quality education for his family.

As we grieve with Mike and the entire family, we equally honour late Pa Everistus, whose hard work manifested in the family he left behind.

As we continue to advocate for transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, PWYP family will continue to remember Pa Everistus, whose gift of Mike to Nigeria Extractive sector, will be fondly remembered.

As Pa Everistus Uzoigwe was laid to rest on May 26th, 2017, in his hometown Nenwe, Aninri Local Government, Enugu State, we are assured that God has granted him eternal rest.
